This latest offering from Alex Rankin (who was also responsible for 'Earthed') promises to teach you how to improve your riding skills with tuition and tips from some of the best riders on the planet. Keep your eyes out for Greg Minnaar, Steve Peat & Sam Hill to name but a few and be sure to pay attention as they talk you through the best way to tackle a variety of obstacles.
Did I learn anything?? - Well not much to be honest. Not that I already know everything but it's just not possible to teach some of these things on a video. Some sections are better than others (ie the 'Pumping' section - NO JOKES PLEASE ! I'VE ALREADY HEARD THEM!) but in the main I found it no help whatsoever. Personally I think you'd be better off spending the 2hrs 45mins duration of the DVD at a BMX track or local free-ride area and build your confidence there.
That said - I did pick up a few tips and the bike set-up/maintenance section which features Clive Gosling from Bikelab and suspension guru Tim Flooks is well worth watching.
On the whole it's a good DVD - I don't think it delivers all that it promises but it's still worth getting if only for the great footage of some of our heroes in action.
Available from Halfords (among others) for £16-95.
